I just finished watching 1:13 of Alias titled Phase One. Now, I can't remember the spoiler and what I'm supposed to be looking for. Here's a quick run-down: Sydney and Jack have been exposed as double agents. Sydney breaks the news to Dixon that he's been unknowingly working for the enemey all this time. The FBI takes down The Alliance, of which SD-6 is a part. Syd and Vaughn finally kiss after over a season and a half of pining for each other. We find out it was Sloane's plan for The Alliance to fall- that was phase one. The bad guys call their new ally, who turns out to be a clone/twin/or something of Francie, Syd's best friend. The new Francie shot the old Francie in the head at her restaurant. http://tv.yahoo.com/alias/show/phase-one/episode/9788 Here's some pictures just because Jennifer Garner is so hot. mb, now remind me of what the spoiler was.
Wow Steph - the very first poster to the TLI spoiler blog, you are TRULY #1. Thanks - and such research - nice!
The spoiler was that the Lost season finale was going to change the show for good, possibly in an alias-y super-bowl episode kind of way" (from Kristin @E!Online)
So, I'm assuming that is this episode which you have described. That being the case I would guess that the comparison between the two might mean that some kind of breakdown may happen RE: the people in the show who we consider "the bad guys". Up until now (certainly season 3 and a lot of season 2), the main adversary for our heroes were the others, as SD-6 and the Alliance was for Sydney and co. But in ep 1:13 of Alias, suddenly The CIA won the battle, but found out SD-6 and the Alliance was only the begining of their troubles. I would venture to guess that the first veil of secrecy may be pulled back (whatever it is), and we will find out that the Losties have bigger (or at least different) problems than they thought they had with Ben and Co.
just stopping by to say hi. as you all know i am spoiler free, but support your cause. MB great show by the way, i listened to like 45 seconds of it. i wish i could listen to more.
I posted this @ScottAndSteve, but figured I should copy it here - If you want to read some SPOILER-y theories about the whole show, this article is a rich vein of ideas. Doesn't give up a LOT of specific spoiler-facts, but has several HUGE ideas about the show.
Just watched a very stuttering preview clip of Catch 22. I hear a helicopter coming - is this how Naomi the parachutist lands on the lsland? I wonder how low it's flying - sounds pretty low for dropping a parachutist - but I don't know much about parachuting or how high you need to be.
Hurley being scared by Jin telling a ghoststory in Korean has got to be the funniest shit I've ever seen. A helicopter can't travel a long distance. I think it came from another island close by. Maybe Dharma is on the island. They are trying to set up a situation in which our survivors battle it out with the Others. I don't know. That's the best I can do.
OK...I'm here but because I want to vent about hearing the chopper noise in the background of the spoiler clip!!
Aimee and I had a discussion about "The Others" dissapearing into thin air, and them leaving no trail. I said, I bet you they are air lifted like in a chopper or something, but I cut it out of the podcast!!! *phew* OK I feel better now.
LOL! This is so AWESOME - Kim and Palmer, with heavy hearts, succumb to temptation and fall off the proverbial wagon for a day. I love it - glad you stopped by!
RE: airlift idea - I had not thought of that Kim - very possible. But I SO want Naomi to have been sent by Penny - I'm holding out hope for that. However, you're right Steph about the helicopter - it can't have travelled that far. I seem to remember some theory or something (possibly a hint by Cuselof in an OLP??) saying that there could be more than 2 islands.
He also mentions some business about "bloodshed on the horizon," but it's hard to be concerned about anything as specific as bloodshed with that "something" having been said in a voice that sounds just enough like Ben's to cause worry.
GREAT IDEA Steph - I had a similar thought, especially because of this that I mention in the spoiler seg this week. The 5th or so post down has a list of 4 spoiler items relating to the upcoming Ben flashback - the first being 1. We will see Ben and several 'others' in Dharma Jumpsuits, but they are not scientists. (Ben MAY not even be 'Ben')
This makes me wonder about cloning or something similar. I don't know but I'm pretty psyched to find out.
I think you're right about making the connection to the Bad Twin idea - I also have a feeling that that concept is about to resurface with some kind of reveal.
I said in the podcast that I didn't know who Savinne was (talking about the spoiler that Ben is NOT the father of Savinne's baby). Re-listening to the OLP I realize that Cuseloff are talking about the woman who died on the birthing/operating table in the medical hatch in One Of Us.
Correct me if anyone thinks this is still incorrect.
What the heck was the actual line of dialogue that Ben used to say that he has always been on the Island? did he say that he lived there his own life or specifically that he was born there? i ask because "being born on the Island" could refer to a spiritual rebirth or something like that.
In The Glass Ballerina Ben comes in to Jack's tank/cage and at one point says: "I want for you to change your at--perspective. And, the first step in doing that would be for me to be decent enough to introduce myself honestly, so -- [he crouches down beside Jack and extends his hand to shake] Hi, my name is Benjamin Linus and I've lived on this island all my life. [pause] You're not going to shake?"
And then in Man from Talahassee Ben says to Locke "I was born on this island. Not many of my people can say that" right before he talks about his people's varying levels of "commitment" to being on the island.
I tell you - with enough determination and an internet connection, you can find just about anything relating to Lost.
SPOILER ALERT PALMER!!! (just making sure you know ahead of time)
RE: Ben being born on the island, one of the spoilers that I mentioned this week on the podcast said that the Ben flashback which is coming up in a couple weeks may give new meaning to the term "Born on the island"
Spoilerfix.com has the info on what the "shocking" info is that Naomi tells the 815ers tonight.
Here it is: "At the close of the episode our beloved cast aways will inform the parachute girl that they're survivors of Oceanic flight 815. The parachute girl will give them the unfortunate news that what they've just told her is impossible seeing as how the wreckage of that flight was found and recovered, and that there were no survivors. The episode promptly ends thereafter."
I, too, saw that spoiler about the end of the episode. That's pretty crazy. I really hope that the others just faked the plane crash for the real world to find, because I don't think I'd be too happy with there being "multiple timelines."
I hear you Colin - although, personally I'd be more dissappointed if the producers contradicted what they said in Season 1 (at least I THINK they were the ones who said it) that the 815ers are NOT dead, and the island is NOT some kind of purgatory.
mb - "Savinne", I believe, is "Sabine". The line from Ben was, "It was Sabine's choice to get pregnant. She knew she was taking a risk." from One Of Us.
I hope that helps. Thanks for another wonderful spoilercast!
"The following two facts are true. I swear it. A. They're not in purgatory. B. They're not dead. If we did such a thing after repeatedly stating otherwise, we'd be tarred and feathered!"
Looking WAY forward to "The Brig" tonight. The preview says that Locke kidnapped Ben and he asks Sawyer to kill him. Am I alone in thinking that it's really going to be Cooper?
Holy CA-RAP, I just read the TV gude spoiler preview of tonight....I don't have enough time to pour my thoughts out...too many ideas. I'll keep checking back.
Thanks mb! I'm basicly living spoilerfree, so i wont really be visiting regularly, but I just had to know the main characters of the final episodes. And I must say, all very promising. Not sure of Charlie's, but hey, if they put him so close to season finale it's bound to be super awesome right? I definatly can't wait to be dazzled! Or better yet: razzle dazzled!
Congratz with your blog and spoiler segment! See you around!
Love Alias too. Still have to watch season 5 though. Watched the first couple of episodes and then got disconnected and never got back on it. Might catch up in the summer.
Kablamo for 44! Oh, wait. That's not one of the numbers. I like Jack, as well, MB. I honestly don't see the whole "coconut head" deal. Either way, Jack looks incredibly cocky in that clip, and I fucking love it. Though most people hate him, I can legitimately say that he's my favorite character.
Yeah I think I agree Colin. I'm guessing there is a reveal coming that will make people go "OH - I see what he's doing". That's what is happening for me with Locke now.
-Bai Ling does not currently appear in any cast list I have seen for the rest of the season - but if she is involved in the big reveal about Jack, I'd imagine they might keep her off as many cast lists as they can.
Since we're all talking of the "Snake in the Mailbox today - Kristin from E! Online says "I'm told that when we see the "game-changer," which the show's writing team is calling "the snake in the mailbox," at the end of the May 23 season finale, we will understand why the show cannot go longer than 48 more episodes." (from Dark UFO)
Also, Holli emailed me this article from EW where Cuselof talk about Lost ending and the season finale
Wow, I'm so excited for the "Snake in the Mailbox." Based on a couple things I've heard, I believe that the crazy thing will have to do with Penny and Jack.
First of all: "The game-changer involves Jack and someone else." Kristin @ E!Online
Second of all, the press release from the finale, "Through the Looking Glass" (I'm willing to bet everyone knew that) lists Penny Widmore as one of the guest stars. There are two options: either Penny shows up on island, or Penny shows up in Jack's flashback. Obviously, it could be a fairly insignificant cross, but it also could be huge.
Steph - lol - don't feel so guilty - it's GOOD to let your inner-spoiler out. never healthy to bottle that stuff up :) RE: your friendly fire idea - wow, I have not heard that - have you?
Colin - Good point about Penny - it's either gotta be her on the island, or her in Jack's flashback - unless we get another scene offf-island like her in the final shot of season 2.
Steph, I've heard the friendly fire, but that's just a rumor, on DarkUFO, at least. He only puts the info that has contradictary information in that section, so I honestly think that it will not be the case. Either way, take a look for yourself. Source.
Anyways, since you brought that up, I'll go into more detail about the rumored deaths: 1. Charlie - this, obviously, is expected. It appears they're going to go through with it, and he'll drown. 2. Sayid - this seems to go along with one of Kristin's latest spoiler ("A fan favorite will sacrifice himself for the good of the rest of the Losties.") 3. Kate - there's nothing really that points to her death, except it would end all of the ridiculous shipping that goes on.
I said this on the SAS blog but HOLY mother of Jacob that was a kickass episode IMO - man!
I almost posted this at SAS but then couldn't remember if it had ever been discussed outside of spoilers. Since I am thinking more and more that the Others (at least some of them) may be the survivors of the Black Rock, I'm also thinking that there may be older people on the island as well. This reminded me of the rumor (i think it was a rumor) about an UNDERGROUND contingent of Others.
Well, three of the five characters who are being killed this season are "confirmed" by DarkUFO. I'm not going to say them, just in case people don't want to be that spoiled, but I won't lie, they're not very surprising. Here's the link.
Obviously, these could be foilers, as the producers released some foilers last year for the finale. Personally, from here on out, I'm not going to trust any major spoilers, at least not 100%.
THANKS COLIN! Appreciate the heads up - sorry I haven't been on here sooner to thank you. I'm going to include them in the podcast WITH A PRE-WARNING since, like you said, I imagine some people might not want to be THAT spoiled.
In fact Steph - I just realized that your previous post here proves that you knew - ha - you dog - you'd make Sawyer proud :)) Now I can't wait to see if anyone takes the bet!
No, I'm still waiting for the podcast to download. He's just the obvious choice. When I heard 5 were going to die, I immedietely thought of the nastiest bad guy. That has to be, like someone just said, Pickett's replacement. So, the five are Charlie, Pryce, Tom, and ??? Are we to consider Mikhail as a death? And who's the fifth? I guess I'll hear on the podcast. If it ever downloads.
I still don't know who the other two are actually - although I havent made the rounds today of the spoiler sites. The only thing I read is that it was going to be two women. And didn't someone just say that Evi was on Regis, or was going to be? Uh-oh....I wonder
I just read the big spoiler rundown of the season finale at Dark UFO. WOW and HOOOOOLLLLLY CRA-HA-HAAAP!!! If this is a true spoiler - I'm blown away - and will continue to be blown away as I watch it.
WARNING - it gives away the whole shebang - Charlie's fate, Jack's big reveal, and more suprises assumning it isn't a foiler. I'm only not talking about it here in case there's anyone who doesn't want to be COMPLETELY spoiled.
MB- I, too, read the finale synopsis, and wow. It's amazing, but I really regret reading it. So far, the source is correct for the Charlie episode, but it's very likely the finale stuff is a foiler. There is absolutely NO WAY that someone could view the finale at this point.....and I doubt they're even finished with it. Last year, they didn't finish the finale until one or two days until it aired. The chances of this guy, some unknown source, getting his hands on the finale script are slim to none. I mean, the endings of LOST are the most well kept secrets of the show. It's much more likely that the guy got a advance copy of the Charlie episode and made up the rest.
I really hope that it's a foiler, because I regret reading it. I dunno, though. We'll see.
COLIN - THANKS for posting - I was going to email you because I want to talk about it so badly but I'm didn't know anyone else who I was pretty sure had probably read the synopsis - lol :)
I hear you on the regret - I am torn between regret and just being really f-ing psyched about seeing it. One way I did start thinking about it that has helped was - assuming that it is true - that IS one HELL of a cliffhanger (I suppose each finale has been) and is going to make waiting 8 months REALLY hard. But knowing the info ahead of time gives me a bit of a chance to ready myself, instead of having such a big suprise sprung on me and then having to deal with the frustration of waiting. Eases the blow for me a bit.
As far as whether it is a foiler - you make a good point. Although I think it was taken down from the site after it got posted, which often actually means it was true from what I understand. But at the same time It seems to me that someone would remove it if it was incorrect too. So, like you, I dont know.
What's your take on the possibility of a Flash-forward? I love the idea - I was reading some of the comments on Dark UFO and apparently not everyone is liking it (suprise suprise).
MB, I emailed you, but I though I'd post an update, as far as the finale spoilers are concerned. DocArzt (the webmaster of the tailsection.com) had this to say about the spoilers:
"Exciting week, huh folks? Concerning the spoilers released by LOSTFan108, there has been a lot of discussion as to whether or not the synopsis is legit, or is an elaborate misdirection. There is a lot you don't know about the situation, so in the words of my idol, Dr. Marvin Candle, "First, a little history."
The spoilers originated on www.aintitcoolnews.com in a post by TV correspondent Hercules. His post concerned information given to him by a confidential informant and listed a number of extremely vague bullet points.
During the course of that day, a DIFFERENT person posted more concise information that expanded on Hercules bullets and revealed the 'game changer' of the episode.
In between these events I emailed Hercules at Aint-it-cool-news. The reason for the email was to share with him some litmus information that myself and DarkUFO have kept off the record for the purpose of testing the validity of any spoilers which may arise concerning the finale. As you can guess, we are deluged with 'tips' from unproven sources.
After the comments were posted, and subsequently posted at other LOST sites, I posted my call for calm and discretion, and at the same time expressed my opinion on giving spoilers on the magnitude of 'the game changer' without tempering the information to make it less conclusive, and more seductive.
At this point, I was emailed by someone claiming to be the person who provided the information to AICN. I challenged him to prove he was who he claimed to be, and his response included information not released on AICN, or anywhere else for that matters, concerning "Greatest Hits." In particular, the first five lines of dialog. I told him that once his info was confirmed I would pass along his concerns.
His claim is that he is in possession of the screenplays for the final two episodes of LOST. They are not watermarked. He claims he did not provide AICN with specific information, but did give a brief overview of the episodes, and did tell AICN what the game changer was with the understanding that none of the information would be published.
He claims that the subsequent synopsis posted in the AICN comments system and later at DarkUFO's site, was at best an abbreviated version of the information he gave, and that there are several specific details regarding key scenes that he cannot imagine someone with specific knowledge who was spoiling the episode on that level would leave out. He also indicated there are some inconsistencies which were 'laughable' in comparison to how things actually happen.
The bottom line is, he feels the information was given by someone who only had access to the tidbits he gave AICN. In short, he thinks AICN themselves posted the synopsis in their own comments system to get more traction out of their post traffic wise.
Unfortunately, for those of you who hope and pray the spoilers are incorrect, they are, in their own crude way, 100% correct. However, they do not represent the finished product in any complete way. There is still much to be derived from watching, and watching very very closely. In particular, there is information given in the final moments of the show which were completely absent from the game changer description, and will drive LOST fans absolutely crazy." - DocArzt (on his myspace blog)
So, according to him, it's more or less true, but it's still missing and bunch of HUGE details. That's all I needed to know, that I wasn't 100% spoiled.
What's up MB. This is great dialog. Forget spoiler-free, I'm spoiler-full!!! I was one of those kids that read the solutions to Encyclopedia Brown mystery books. As a teen I would use the answers in the back of my math books and use Cliff's Notes. That being said, spoilers are more reliable than the promos/trailers ever could. Thanks for checking out the sources and providing updates.
Hey everyone - SORRY for my absence - life gets in the way as usual :/
Colin - what awesome info!! I have not had time to read that. So, thanks much for posting it. I must say it is something of a relief, as much as I still would have loved the episode, that WAS a biggie as spoilers go. Nice to still have some suprises in store!
Mayes - hey! Thanks so much for stopping by! I assume you are the same Mace that called in weeks ago with the awesome compliment for the spoiler seg. Much appreciated - thanks! RE: the dialog about spoilers on the SAS blog (I assume that's what you're talking about) - I just had to speak up for the (as you perfectly put it) 'spoiler-FULL'. It was starting to feel like a spoilers-anonymous meeting there, and I started thinking - well, why DO I like spoilers? I've always been like you as well - looking ahead in books and such. Sometimes I will read the last page or two of a book as I start it, because I like seeing as I read how the book is progressing from the begining to what I read on the last page. It's weird - but it's how my brain operates for some reason - lol. Anyway - keep posting - glad to have you here!
Steph - yeah i'm pretty positive it will still be fraking awesome! I have LOVED just about all of the last 16 episodes and I was fairly spoiled for most of them
I'm actually thinking of trying to find a good name for people who read spoilers - something with a positive spin, like "Forward Thinkers" or "Forward Lookers" - lol
I wasn't serious, MB, but if you want to use that, go right ahead.
Steph, I'm glad me and MB aren't the only ones who know the secret. DarkUFO has decided to start posting all the little details to the episode, which I think is ridiculous. I, for one, am refusing to read them just because I want the episode to be somewhat entertaining. Though that spoiler reveals "the rattlesnake," it still doesn't show the on-island story, which I'm still excited to see.
Colin - Im totally with you on not reading any more on this one. This spoiler actually taught me that I have limits with spoilers and what my limits are. I kind of talk about this a bit in the podcast this week. In that spirit, I did not actually read the spoiler word for word, I culled out a majority of the facts, but tried to rephrase things just a bit more cryptically - and I say what 'the gamechanger' suprise is at the end, but leave out the analysis of what it means (i.e. how it's possible). I hope no one is pissed off by that, but considering how much controversy just POSTING the info has caused, I figured I should be a little careful podcasting the info to the world. I hope I made the right choice <:/
Wow! Thanks Holli! Great article, although now I really feel like a douche, being a spoiler guy (who podcasts it) - I don't want to contribute to Cuseloff's pain!
Interesting about Jacob not being cast - wonder who the figure in the cabin was then?
And just to say it on this blog as well - what a MF-ing amazing finale. I am so glad it was done as dramatically well (IMO) as it was b/c it made reading the big spoiler a non-issue for me - I was on the edge of my seat anyway, and I stood up with fists in the air when Hurley mowed that piece of shit Pryce down. What a tenacious ass-wipe - gets run over to keep shooting rather than step out of the way. The Others are nothing if not committed to whatever mission they are on.
Anyway - it will be very interesting to see if we get ANY info about Season 4 with Cuseloff's 'radio silence'. I may be out of a job - lol
No worries, MB,as I've been called worse names that don't rhyme with Mace. The finale made it more clear to me that Lost is the best in TV history for me. The spoilers didn't spoil it for me. I was still captivated. I wonder why Locke wouldn't just let whoever wants to be rescued be rescued and just say that he wants to stay? Who could stop him? I thought that it was funny that the best thing that Mother Rouseau could offer her reunited daughter was, "You wanna help me tie him up?" Should be cool to see how things were just prior to Alex's kidnapping and answer what the motives of taking the kids is anyway.
Mace, I also was laughing when Danielle said "help me tie him up" - it was like the closest you get to a halmark moment on Lost island - lol.
re: Locke trying to prevent the rescue - I'm not sure how (whether by premonition or if he was told by Ben and I forgot) but I would guess he somehow thinks the same thing that Ben is thinking - that whoever Naomi actually works for are "bad" people and that the island is in danger if they find it. They apparently feel that the danger is is great enough that, it ALMOST warrants killing Jack (and/or Sayid/Jin/Bernard) to prevent it. It is a mystery, and I'm especially interested in seeing the continuation of Locke's story on the island since he just slipped away into the forest. Wonder where he will go?
Well, I thought I should write SOMETHING here since I did start this blog. So in the off chance that someone stops by AND hasn't checked in with the Ausiello website recently, here's what Carlton Cuse had to say to him re: Season 4:
"The four-toed statue is something we will get to next season," Cuse revealed. "Sometimes we're surprised by the things people get fixated on. We tried to answer a fair number of questions this year, but that's one we just didn't get to." Benry's barely visible boss man will also be back, he confirms. "There will definitely be a lot more of Jacob in Season 4."
bloglove to all you forward-lookers (i.e. all you 'flookers' ;) - or should it just be 'fookers'?)
Hey MB! I heard a rumor on another message board that part of the season 4 premiere was filmed during the finale. But on that board, there was no evidence to back that up. Well, I was thinking back to a Jay and Jack podcast (a few back before the finale) where Ryan from the Transmission gave some finale spoilers. He claimed that they were filming a scene with Jack at a Temple on the island. Jack was sporting a beard and wearing a white robe or something. iTunes doesn't have the J&J episode up anymore so I don't know which one it was.
Wow - sweet! Thanks Morgan! I have let my spoiler duties slide - I gotta check that out. I will report back to the SPLOG when and if I find more info and which J&J episode that was.
Hey everyone, Just a quick casting update that came out after I recorded for the July 4th episode of TLI (well 3rd or 4th - we'll see when Kim's computer feels better - bummer BTW).
Spoilerfix says they are casting for another newbie.
Also, I mentioned in my spoiler seg that Harold Perrineau is in actual talks to make returning to Lost a reality, and Michael Emerson's interview on the Comic News Insider podcast Ep. 93, was very cool. You can download it (if you don't subscribe to the podcast already) at www.comicnewsinsider.com, and click on their ARCHIVE page, and scroll down to ep. 93.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. If you are itching for some actual Lost talk - the subject DOES come up at the SAS blog and our friend Memphish has a nice little Lost blog she's started. Props to her for taking ...the LOST INITIATIVE...mind the pun....(crickets)....anyone? ............thanks very much I'm here 'till 2010 (at LEAST). lol
Bizarrely I've just come here (from listening to a Dutch radio station) to suggest that you should watch LOST in a language that you don't understand, thus being an effective way of "spoiling" it.
But now I won't as you've just been saying that, and I couldn't come up with good enough wording to make it funny.
Eyeliner Carbonell may NOT be back for season 3. He is starring in a new CBS drama and CBS seems reluctant to let him return to Lost if their show is a hit.
Oops - didn't finish my sentence in that last post - I meant to say we may get to see Forrest Whitaker and Peter Stormare IN SEASON 3 (just in case that wasn't obvious)
Another bit of info - hopefully the first of several (with the Lost Panel at Comic Con coming up in a few hours: Dark UFO is relaying a tiny semi-spoiler from a French website which is saying that in Season 4, some episodes will have flash-forwards, some will have flash-backs, and some will have neither.
hmmm...neither - that ought to be one action packed day on the island (and thereabouts) :)
I had a feeling they would set up Season 4 that way: a few flashback eps, a few flash forward eps, and a few none-at-all. It would be impossible, or rather cumbersome, to sprinkle flash forwards and flashbacks in the same episode. Do you think we'll know ahead of time which sort of episode it will be, e.g. in TV Guide synopsis they reveal the POV character usually...

The new Francie shot the old Francie in the head at her restaurant.
http://tv.yahoo.com/alias/show/phase-one/episode/9788
Here's some pictures just because Jennifer Garner is so hot.
mb, now remind me of what the spoiler was.
Why did I say FBI when I meant to say CIA?
Just thoughts
Also - thanks for Jennifer Garner pics. She is not ugly.
just stopping by to say hi. as you all know i am spoiler free, but support your cause. MB great show by the way, i listened to like 45 seconds of it. i wish i could listen to more.
Thank you so much Ralph - much appreciated!
I posted this @ScottAndSteve, but figured I should copy it here -
If you want to read some SPOILER-y theories about the whole show, this article is a rich vein of ideas. Doesn't give up a LOT of specific spoiler-facts, but has several HUGE ideas about the show.
EW.com- Mind Tricks are for Kids
Just watched a very stuttering preview clip of Catch 22. I hear a helicopter coming - is this how Naomi the parachutist lands on the lsland? I wonder how low it's flying - sounds pretty low for dropping a parachutist - but I don't know much about parachuting or how high you need to be.
I'm so psyched for this
interesting. if anyone asks... i was never here! i could only resist the siren's song of spoilers so long. :(
Hurley being scared by Jin telling a ghoststory in Korean has got to be the funniest shit I've ever seen.
*phew* OK I feel better now.
does this mean that kim is delving into spoilers if she's seen this preview thing? or was it aired on TV and i just missed it?
Sorry Palmer no spoilers, but I did cheat and watch ONE that was sent to me thru myspace. I am a weak person, I know :(
I try not to be spoiled, but I had to drop by and say hi!
Doc Jensen has more theories, this time on Desmond (in light of tonight's episode), and brings Nietzsche and Kierkegaard into the theorizing fray.
He also mentions some business about "bloodshed on the horizon," but it's hard to be concerned about anything as specific as bloodshed with that "something" having been said in a voice that sounds just enough like Ben's to cause worry.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ent/tv/4724221.html
For some reason, I'm now thinking Jacob is Ben's Bad Twin.
GREAT IDEA Steph - I had a similar thought, especially because of this
that I mention in the spoiler seg this week. The 5th or so post down has a list of 4 spoiler items relating to the upcoming Ben flashback - the first being
SPOILER SEG CORRECTION!!! (sort of):
I said in the podcast that I didn't know who Savinne was (talking about the spoiler that Ben is NOT the father of Savinne's baby). Re-listening to the OLP I realize that Cuseloff are talking about the woman who died on the birthing/operating table in the medical hatch in One Of Us.
Correct me if anyone thinks this is still incorrect.
Sorry for the screw-up!
What the heck was the actual line of dialogue that Ben used to say that he has always been on the Island? did he say that he lived there his own life or specifically that he was born there? i ask because "being born on the Island" could refer to a spiritual rebirth or something like that.
Amazingly - I found benrygalesdialogueeverysyllable.com
(I am continually amazed at the fanbase for this show)
In The Glass Ballerina Ben comes in to Jack's tank/cage and at one point says:
"I want for you to change your at--perspective.
Spoilerfix.com
has the info on what the "shocking" info is that Naomi tells the 815ers tonight.
Here it is:
"At the close of the episode our beloved cast aways will inform the parachute girl that they're survivors of Oceanic flight 815.
Brian
AH! thank you Brian - makes sense now!
Hey, fresh from Lindelof himself.
"The following two facts are true. I swear it.
A. They're not in purgatory.
B. They're not dead.
If we did such a thing after repeatedly stating otherwise, we'd be tarred and feathered!"
Kristin@EOnline
Good to know.
THANKS COLIN! I mentioned this in this weeks podcast - but forgot to give you credit for the tip-off. Sorry!
Just a test to see if my pic is working
woohoo - you learn something new everyday
Looking WAY forward to "The Brig" tonight. The preview says that Locke kidnapped Ben and he asks Sawyer to kill him. Am I alone in thinking that it's really going to be Cooper?
Lost Spoilers/Dark UFO has a newer clip from the show tonight. Sawyer has a funny dig at Locke i thought.
Holy CA-RAP, I just read the TV gude spoiler preview of tonight....I don't have enough time to pour my thoughts out...too many ideas. I'll keep checking back.
for Wesh (and anyone who is interested) - the flashbacks for the last 3 episodes of seas. 3:
5/9 = The Man Behind the Curtain - Ben/Dharma centric
5/16 = Greatest Hits - Charlie centric
5/23 = Through the Looking Glass (2 hr. seas. finale) - Jack centric
Holy shit - I just realized the last two dates are 2 of the Numbers!
Right on Wesh!
OMG, remember ralph- and Ben were talking about the guy from Real Genuis, Napolean Dynomite, and Joysticks. That guy is going to play Roger Linus.
http://www.tv.com/jon-gries/person/1963/summary.html
THANKS Steph!
I didn't know who he was - I'll mention it in the spoiler seg.
Check out DocArzt's cryptic spoiler about Jacob here
Sneak Peek
Based on that, Jack obviously knew about Juliet. He's not surprised to hear that recording at all.
God, I'm excited.
Thanks Colin! Hadn't seen that yet. I'm totally psyched as well.
and "catching up"?!? Uh...that's a fucking understatement Coco-head
P.S. I like Jack, I really do....:)
OH DAMN! HOW could I not KABLAMMO 42 here!
Well it's a milestone, this blog has surpassed the Numbers (even if it was mostly me talking more than I needed to ;) )
Thank you Steph, Ralph, Palmer, Kim Colin, Brian, and Wesh (and all future posters)!
Some things I found (and didn't find):
-Bai Ling does not currently appear in any cast list I have seen for the rest of the season - but if she is involved in the big reveal about Jack, I'd imagine they might keep her off as many cast lists as they can.
Since we're all talking of the "Snake in the Mailbox today - Kristin from E! Online says
"I'm told that when we see the "game-changer," which the show's writing team is calling "the snake in the mailbox," at the end of the May 23 season finale, we will understand why the show cannot go longer than 48 more episodes." (from Dark UFO)
Also, Holli emailed me this article from EW where Cuselof talk about Lost ending and the season finale
Wow, I'm so excited for the "Snake in the Mailbox." Based on a couple things I've heard, I believe that the crazy thing will have to do with Penny and Jack.
First of all:
"The game-changer involves Jack and someone else." Kristin @ E!Online
Second of all, the press release from the finale, "Through the Looking Glass" (I'm willing to bet everyone knew that) lists Penny Widmore as one of the guest stars. There are two options: either Penny shows up on island, or Penny shows up in Jack's flashback. Obviously, it could be a fairly insignificant cross, but it also could be huge.
Who knows, though. I'm just excited as hell.
Is the "snake in the mailbox" Kate is killed my Jack in a case of friendlyfire?
I feel so dirty talking spoilers.
Steph - lol - don't feel so guilty - it's GOOD to let your inner-spoiler out. never healthy to bottle that stuff up :)
RE: your friendly fire idea - wow, I have not heard that - have you?
Colin - Good point about Penny - it's either gotta be her on the island, or her in Jack's flashback - unless we get another scene offf-island like her in the final shot of season 2.
Steph, I've heard the friendly fire, but that's just a rumor, on DarkUFO, at least. He only puts the info that has contradictary information in that section, so I honestly think that it will not be the case. Either way, take a look for yourself. Source.
Anyways, since you brought that up, I'll go into more detail about the rumored deaths:
1. Charlie - this, obviously, is expected. It appears they're going to go through with it, and he'll drown.
2. Sayid - this seems to go along with one of Kristin's latest spoiler ("A fan favorite will sacrifice himself for the good of the rest of the Losties.")
3. Kate - there's nothing really that points to her death, except it would end all of the ridiculous shipping that goes on.
Just testing the new pic
Re: Man behind the Curtain
I said this on the SAS blog but HOLY mother of Jacob that was a kickass episode IMO - man!
I almost posted this at SAS but then couldn't remember if it had ever been discussed outside of spoilers. Since I am thinking more and more that the Others (at least some of them) may be the survivors of the Black Rock, I'm also thinking that there may be older people on the island as well. This reminded me of the rumor (i think it was a rumor) about an UNDERGROUND contingent of Others.
Might they be (forgive the pun) popping up?
Well, three of the five characters who are being killed this season are "confirmed" by DarkUFO. I'm not going to say them, just in case people don't want to be that spoiled, but I won't lie, they're not very surprising. Here's the link.
Obviously, these could be foilers, as the producers released some foilers last year for the finale. Personally, from here on out, I'm not going to trust any major spoilers, at least not 100%.
Exactly what I was expecting. Except I was thinking Evi wouldn't stay if Dom left. I say she will die early in season 4.
Steph, apparently there are two more deaths (both female) that DarkUFO can't reveal yet.
I'm hoping Kate is one.
THANKS COLIN! Appreciate the heads up - sorry I haven't been on here sooner to thank you. I'm going to include them in the podcast WITH A PRE-WARNING since, like you said, I imagine some people might not want to be THAT spoiled.
Steph - you sly dog! :))
Did you make your $500 bet/offer AFTER you listened to this weeks spoiler seg? Or did you read the spoilers about Ryan Price for the finale?
Oh...my....god!
MB-
I, too, read the finale synopsis, and wow.
We'll see.
By the way, my post above is just me in denial.
I'm crossing my fingers for a foiler. Not because I don't like the ending (it's awesome) but because I wish I didn't ruin for myself.
In particular, there is information given in the final moments of the show which were completely absent from the game changer description, and will drive LOST fans absolutely crazy."
- DocArzt (on his myspace blog)
So, according to him, it's more or less true, but it's still missing and bunch of HUGE details. That's all I needed to know, that I wasn't 100% spoiled.
What's up MB. This is great dialog. Forget spoiler-free, I'm spoiler-full!!! I was one of those kids that read the solutions to Encyclopedia Brown mystery books. As a teen I would use the answers in the back of my math books and use Cliff's Notes. That being said, spoilers are more reliable than the promos/trailers ever could. Thanks for checking out the sources and providing updates.
Unfortunately, I'm spoiled. Regardless, I'm hopeing it will still be kick-butt.
I think that "Forward Lookers" is a bit wordy. How about fookers? Haha.
Absolutely not.
Hang on there Colin - I'm not sure that's half bad - FOOKERS
I'm gonna let that one roll around in the ol' hat-rack, but I think I like it!
BIG APPOLOGY TO MACE - jeeez i don't know what the hell is wrong with me that I kept calling you Mayes - sorry man!
MB, check out Kristin's interview with DL. There's a definite Jacob spoiler at a minimum.
Holli
Mace,
I also was laughing when Danielle said "help me tie him up" - it was like the closest you get to a halmark moment on Lost island - lol.
re: Locke trying to prevent the rescue - I'm not sure how (whether by premonition or if he was told by Ben and I forgot) but I would guess he somehow thinks the same thing that Ben is thinking - that whoever Naomi actually works for are "bad" people and that the island is in danger if they find it.
Hey again,
Another item to file under "You probably already read this":
from Kristin @E! Online via Dark UFO
Looks like we'll get more Michael (and Walt I imagine)
Hey everyone,
Just a quick casting update that came out after I recorded for the July 4th episode of TLI (well 3rd or 4th - we'll see when Kim's computer feels better - bummer BTW).
Also pretty cool is Lindeloff and Cuse's talk at the Promax convention which you can either download at Dark UFO's Spoiler page or at Crankyfanatic.com
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. If you are itching for some actual Lost talk - the subject DOES come up at the SAS blog and our friend Memphish has a nice little Lost blog she's started. Props to her for taking ...the LOST INITIATIVE...mind the pun....(crickets)....anyone? ............thanks very much I'm here 'till 2010 (at LEAST). lol
time for a new thread?
you are right palmer - although, I got NUTHIN' new to report right now. Next news item gets a fresh one!
an exclusive:
most of season 4 will probably be in English.
possibly.
lol - although how about that for a rattlesnake - Jack and Kate do the whole scene in Dutch or something. WTF?!?
Bizarrely I've just come here (from listening to a Dutch radio station) to suggest that you should watch LOST in a language that you don't understand, thus being an effective way of "spoiling" it.
But now I won't as you've just been saying that, and I couldn't come up with good enough wording to make it funny.
Wait - you've got to be kidding me. Seriously - you were listening to Dutch radio before you saw my post? That's too much - lol! Wild.
w00t - two small tidbits!
Eyeliner Carbonell may NOT be back for season 3. He is starring in a new CBS drama and CBS seems reluctant to let him return to Lost if their show is a hit.
And in the RUMOUR department (nothing substantial yet) - we may get to see Forrest Whitaker and Peter Stormare
Hope everyone's Summer is going well - Comic Con starts THIS WEEK, so there will hopefully be more news soon (spoilerish or not)!
:))
Oops - didn't finish my sentence in that last post - I meant to say we may get to see Forrest Whitaker and Peter Stormare IN SEASON 3 (just in case that wasn't obvious)
Well it LOOKS like it is official - Harold Perinneau is returning to Lost.
Although from Stephen McPherson's apparent reticence to say much, I suppose we should wait until tomorrow at the Con to be sure.
WAAAALLLLLTTTTTTTT!
Well it actually does look like Damon Lindeloff gave his blessing on the info - so I guess it's official!
Trevor...that was uncanny - it was like Perinneau was here...on the SPLOG. Nice! ;)
Another bit of info - hopefully the first of several (with the Lost Panel at Comic Con coming up in a few hours:
Dark UFO is relaying a tiny semi-spoiler from a French website which is saying that in Season 4, some episodes will have flash-forwards, some will have flash-backs, and some will have neither.
hmmm...neither - that ought to be one action packed day on the island (and thereabouts) :)
Good question Matt. I would guess that forward-looking people like will be able to find out which it is - but don't quote me ;)

In my opinion you are not right. Let's discuss it. Write to me in PM.
In it something is. I thank for the information, now I will know.
