Comic Con and beyond

Well Comic Con is finally here and Damon & Carlton did indeed talk

It was time for a new thread and what better excuse than the Lost Panel at Comic Con.

Let's move forward toward Season 4 shall we?

So, you will probably want to read the minute by minute rundown of the Lost Panel at Kristin @E! Online, or get the complete spoiler rundown (with Q&A transcription - not sure if it's complete) at Dark UFO spoilers, but here are some highlights that piqued my interest as a forward-looker:

- Jack and Claire WILL find out they are brother and sister

- as previously mentioned (last thread), Michael will be returning. They also said that "Michael's story is about the power of the Island to be redemptive. And this won't be a quick pop by Redemption Island; Harold is a series regular. Michael returns early in the fourth season" or so says Damon.

- Libby will be returning in Season 4 (I assume in flash backs - but you never know!)

- Danielle will get a flashback in either Season 4 or 5

- "Cerebus" is ONE of the smoke monster's names (referring to the "CV"s written on the blast door map which stand for "Cerebus Vent")

And the audience got a peek at a new Dharma Station Orientation film for a Station named "The Orchid" (check out Kristin's or Dark UFO's description at the above links).

I am SURE there are or will be plenty of complete, full transcripts - I am just too tired to go find them right now - sorry! I believe Jay and Jack will be putting out a recording of the panel as well.

I will post any links I find to transcripts.

Cheeky, sure, but had to be done.

Now, preserve it in aspic.

Sex aspic, yes.

There are other spoilers to catch up on as well, but to help alleviate the spoiler discussion over at the SAS blog, I'll put this one on here:

Peter Stormare has been offered a role on lost, though he's not sure whether he'll do it and I haven't seen any info on what his character would be. I'll keep looking.

Dark UFO also reports the same news

PalmerEldritch said...

peter stormare is the man. so, i hope he shows up. would love to see him be some creepy weirdo on LOST.

mb said...

He does seem to fit the bill for a Lost character. I wonder if he'll be a person from the boat (that's "not Penny's). I'm skeptical about the idea of him playing Jacob - but you never know.

PalmerEldritch said...

he's playing Locke's long lost kidney.

mb said...

A couple more things

Kristin @E! Online has info from Cuse and Line Producer Jean Higgins, who say that:

- Walt will indeed return but they're not ggiving any details (suprise suprise)

- We WILL see more of Jacob in Season 4

- They further confirm that the boat people who are coming are "going to be a hell of a lot worse than [The Others] ever were"
Cuse says
"The situation is going to be very intense this year. Charlie wrote on his hand not Penny's boat, and [that] message was very important."

- There aren't any "permananent" sets being built so far for Season 4, which de-bunks the idea that "the Ruins" are going to be the main location/focal point of Season 4 (like Othersville was for Season 3).

And I continue to look for info...

mb said...

lol Palmer. would he do that with an accent or just a "don't tell me what toxins I can't FILTER" attitude?

PalmerEldritch said...

he'll be looking for his "bad twin" still inside Locke's abdomen.

Chris JC said...

I am Christopher, and I say:

what do you reckon, then, that the deal will be with this guy:

As found by Elias elsewhere.

My exclusive prediction is:

Hastily written way out of the Richard Alpert trap. Carbonell goes to another show so they need a new mysterious Other to transplant some of the already worked out story ideas to.

Who's with me?

mb said...

As far as I can tell - Stormare doesn't even know if he's going to do Lost for sure yet (he's still deciding), so I wonder if they have his role set. I agree though, very probably they are covering their asses - I would.

Question: Have you spoken to Darlton about having Kristen Bell on Lost? If you pull this off, I swear (and you have this in writing, with AA witnesses) that I will send you one case of Diet Raspberry Snapple for every episode of Lost that Kristen appears on. Hope you're up for the challenge!— Erin
Ausiello: You better get busy clipping them there Snapple coupons, Erin. And while you're at it, slap on a pair of Depends, 'cause this is the kind of exclusive casting prattle that causes mass piddling: I can tell you for a fact that Kristen's name has been brought up with regard to the new role of Charlotte, the hot twentysomething who is said to be "precocious, loquacious and funny... a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world." Yep, sounds like our Kristen! The only question now is whether my in-demand BFF is ready to jump back into another series. And, if so, will the financial toll wrought by all those Snapple purchases force Erin to declare bankruptcy? Please, God, let the answer be "Yes!" to all of the above!

Although I've never watched an episode of Veronica Mars, I like her. She's the prettiest thing on tv.

mb said...

Steph - you read my mind! THANK YOU for posting that!

In addition, I should post here about the other new character that is supposedly coming, named Russel.

Dark UFO says he is:

"Late 30s, a brilliant mathematician and deep thinker who is capable of great insights and has a tremendous knowledge across various scientific fields. He sometimes struggles socially by being too direct and disconnected in his interpersonal relationships. While an empiricist by trade he is humbled and fascinated by the magic and mystery of all in this world that cannot be explained by science."

At this point the role is being described as a "recurring arc with a possible options for series regular next season"

Here's to hoping R & C are excellent and well written...
*clink glasses*

Bad news for Kristen Bell fans :(

Looks like she turned down the Lost offer:

Why Kristen Bell Won't Be Getting Lost

2 more pieces of info from Spoilerfix:

- Another new character will be coming in at least the first two episodes of S.4 (possibly more) named Arthur Stevens. Spoilerfix says
"He is a ruthless corporate recruiter, tall and thin, with a chilling prescence"

Ben Linus's evil-er twin? Actually I like that idea...:) They'd have to mess with the magic box or the Casimir effect or something to give Ben a sibling or an alternate version of himself maybe. I don't know - perhaps that's shark-jumping territory.

- In Issue #12 of the Official Lost Magazine, Cuseloff says that "Who is on that frieghter and are they good or bad is a significant part of next years' show."
They also add:
"If Naomi was lying about working for Penny... who says there even is a boat?"

These two statements seem to contradict each other as to whether there is a boat/freighter or not, but being that this is Lost we're talking about - who the hell knows - anything could be possbile, right? lol.

mb said...

Dark UFO has apparently seen a casting call for the Arthur Stevens character which specifies "FEMALE" - but they say they are checking into it further to confirm or deny that.

mb said...

I was browsing The Tail Section and saw that they had picked out some more and different points than I had from the Micheal Emerson Interview on the Comicc News Insider podcast from back in June.

Among those points, Doc Arzt specifies:

"• Jacob has been cast, is somebody that has worked on LOST, but we have not heard them speak and we may never see him speak. He could remain in the shadows. (reinforcing my theory that Jacob is Jack Bender.)

• The freighter is not connected to Dharma.

• There is still more to learn about Ben's background. Man Behind the Curtain was just a sketch.

• The conflict between the hostiles and Dharma will be explored more in season 4.

• Emerson believes the 'hostiles' were a separate research group who have assumed the Dharma work."

mb said...

Another bit of info on Arthur Stevens:

The Tail Section has a quote from Ausiello (it's buried on Ausiello's page too) saying
"He may smile and his words may sound soothing, but their effect can send chills up your spine."

This is sounding more and more like a member of the Linus family - lol

mb said...

DAMN!

Jorge Garcia started a daily blog on Monday - and today he's 86ing it already. Apparently he received a call from TPTB.

mb said...

That would have been super fun (sigh)

mb said...

Jorge's blog is back on - though he will not discuss what's going on with Lost. Will be interesting to see what he decides to talk about!

mb said...

Spoilerfix.com
says that Arthur is supposed to be between 40-60 yrs.

The Tail Section has a rumor that
Angus Scrimm (Phantasm, and Alias) may be in consideration for the role of Arthur.

And Dark UFO corrects their earlier info where they said Arthur actually might be cast as a woman.

Rebecca Mader, whom I first remember as a guest villainess during an All My Children storyline but whom you may know from last season's short-lived Justice, is the latest newbie added to the Lost ensemble. Deets on Mader's character are under wraps, nor is it clear if she nabbed the recurring role recently eyed by Kristen Bell. (Me, I don't see the two ladies as interchangeable.)....

Wow. The Lost cast is growing as big as Heroes.

Trevor McFur said...

Dark UFO mentions now that they've cast the part of Arthur. If he's a corporate recruiter -- Richard was the recruiter, and I wonder Arthur is somehow going to replace Richard's character, who we've been assuming is not coming back because of the actor's new TV show. Maybe they're going to be taking the arc that they had planned for Richard and moving it onto this guy.

mb said...

Now this is awesome - I leave the Splog for a day, and I get friends contributing - thank you Trevor and Steph! Excellent.

This is what I had hoped would happen - anytime you hear something you want to tell that's spoilerish and can't be talked about at the SAS blog.

to add to that info:
Ausiello says that the Arthur role has been given to The Wire's
Lance Reddick
. He certainly looks like he can pull off a 'chilling' or creepy vibe with those eyes.

Ausiello also says that Ken Leung is joining the cast, and is rumored to be playing the role of Russell (the mathmatician).

Dark UFO has a report today of a filming sighting. The source Jacobe says:
"LOST was filming on N King Street by the Discount Store and Tamashiro Market, for those that live in Hawaii.
I was able to spot Josh Halloway (Sawyer). So I'm assuming a Sawyer flashback. OR maybe a flash-forward??
The scene involved a car being chased by two police cars, leading to the first car to jump a ramp and crash.
That's all I was able to see.
Sorry, I wasn't able to record or take pictures."

This makes me realize that one of the cool things going forward will be trying to figure out at the begining of the episode whether we are seeing a flash-back or flash-forward. I wonder if it will sometimes be totally unclear.

JEEESUS 8 months is long!

mb said...

Hello everybody,

A couple of things -

Dark UFO and EW both report that Jeff Fahey (of Grindhouse and Lawnmower Man fame) will be joining the cast for season 4, though no word on who he will play.

I will say, with that beard, his profile looks not that far off from the Shadowy image of Jacob - total speculation :)

In addition, I think I missed some casting news along the way - the EW article mentions that
Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan) is also joining the cast.

mb said...

According to Kristin @E! Online Jeremy Davies will be in 8 episodes in Season 4.

Trevor McFur said...

Ken Leung played Uncle Junior's institutionalized buddy on an episode of the Soprano's last season. If he's a scientist-type ... maybe a young Marvin Candle?

mb said...

mmm - I like that thinking Trevor...

mb said...

b/c of course we still don't know his real name - maybe it's Horace

mb said...

DOH!!
Horace = Russel in that last post :)

and that, my friends is as clear a sign as you can get that it's time to sleep - g'nite

mb said...

And - I just realized that Steph had already posted the link to the Jeremy Davies Casting news - didn't mean to steal credit there - sorry Steph!

Why am I not asleep yet?

mb said...

A couple of things (quickly - then hopefully I can add thoughts later):

- S.4 casting news confirmed by Cuselof themselves. Haven't had a chance to read the article

- The Tail Secion has some possible spoilers or foilers - you get to decide for yourself. The 3 items are:

* The premiere is Sawyer Centric
* Matthew Fox will be absent from several episodes
* Hurley or Sawyer have been marked for termination this season

WHICH ONE IS THE SPOILER?

DocArzt insinuates it is that Fox will be absent.

mb said...

More updates, my forward looking compatriots:

- SPOILERFIX
says that the first episode of season 4 will be Sawyer-centric. Since we had the filming sighting from Dark UFO where Josh Holloway was spotted, I guess this would make sense. Will it be a flashback or flashforward? Hmmm.

- Dark UFO relays specualation by Ausiello @TV Guide that we may not have seen the last of Rob McElhenney, who played Aldo - the Other that Juliette smacked i with the butt of her gun in (I think) "Not In Portland". Small role - so not big news here, but I take everything I can get :)

- Also in the same blog-post at Dark UFO, they REPORT that Jorge mentioned in a post at The Fuselage that he's "looking forward to some upcoming scenes with Matthew Fox that they are preparing to film" - however - the actual post just reads "I know we have some stuff up ahead."

- Yesterday, SPOILERFIX reported that "An upcoming episode will feature a female translator in her 30s who works at a university and translates from French to English". Any tie-in to Danielle, I wonder?

Stephanie said...

"Any tie-in to Danielle, I wonder?"

Is it ever what we think it's going to be? No.

mb said...

lol Steph - indeed - at this point, the info itself could be a foiler. We never did get that teenage girl that was supposed to be "one with nature" - unless that was supposed to be Alex

Malcolm in RVA said...

i have some things to say about the one with nature chick. im almost positive that was a fake casting thing, so people wouldnt go "aaaahhh haaaa! alex!" growing up having my parents photographers and film producers and stuff, i know that casting for children is a total pain in the ass, which is why from ages 2 to about 10, i as in a ton of commercials and crap. neither me, or my parents got paid, because they were making the commercials. similarly, it is expensive to have aaron onscreen, and time consuming, because by law, children, infants, and teenagers cannot be on set as long as adults, which is partly why they have twins play little kids on tv. also, if they were to get a 16 year old to play alex, it would be more expensive, and harder to do. that is also why a lot of high school students are played by people in their late teens/early 20s. all of this could be bullshit though, because i myself am not a film producer, and all of this is being pulled out of half remembered facts, but in the least, it gives you something to chew on, and a reason to believe that alex may have been whats her face that is in touch with nature.

and anyone that frequents the bbs would know that im a fan of always sunny in phillidelphia, which the guy who plays aldo is one of the co stars on. if that isnt a foiler, i am very excited to see him again, even in a minor role.

mb said...

Good point Malcom

So you were a child actor. I'm always curious - did you like doing it?

mb said...

Dark UFO has some supposed Seas. 4 pics from the set. Two of them show what appears to be a door with the words "Observation Room" printed on it. Hard to know what to make of it yet.

Also, something I think I missed - Dark UFO also says that Jeremy Davies is to play a character aboard the Freighter.

mb said...

DAMMIT!!!

belated KABLAMMO!

mb said...

A couple of things bubbling up from the depths of the off-season:

- Dark UFO reports that Sam G @ the Fuselage has the following casting info for Episode 3:

Director: Jack Bender

[DANTE]
40s, Italian businessman, knows the fun of a little competition, affable, friendly but with a secret.
MUST HAVE AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN ACCENT/ SPEAK SOME ITALIAN.
ONE DAY GUEST STAR

- Dark UFO also has shooting infor from Ben_Linus and GekkoGeek:
"It looks like they've started filming the second episode. They have a fairly big boat docked at the end of the pier. We had to keep a certain distance to keep from interfering with the filming. We were also not allowed to snap pictures. I did manage to get 1 of Naveen Andrews who plays Sayid, sitting in the foreground watching the filming. I wasn't there long enough to see if he was in the actual shooting. I'll upload the photo soon!"

"They've been shooting by the pier both Friday and Saturday nights."

----------------

I will continue to cut and paste'em as I read 'em :)

Stephanie said...

Lots of Lost filming news and pictures over at DarkUfo.

mb said...

Thanks Steph!

mb said...

Boy is Steph right - TONS of filming info over the last few days. It would be a bit overwhelming to recap it all here, but two of the things that caught my attention are:

1. Dark UFO says they have confirmation that the Season opener will be a Hurley episode - which would be a cool note to start on IMO.

2. Lance Reddick who is playing the "ruthless corporate recruiter" Arthur Stevens apparently has a scene with Jorge Garcia in Hurley's mental hospital, or at least they were both on the hospital set for a scene - whether they had interactive dialog, I guess we can't be sure.

3. During a shoot in the Nu'uanu Valley, dialogue was overheard from new character Daniel Faraday (played by Jeremy Davies) into some kind of radio (like Naomi's??) while walking though the jungle with Jack and Kate. They come to the top of a rise where Jack and Kate sit down to rest and Daniel pulls out his communication device and says Jack, Kate and Daniel are hiking uphill through the jungle. When they reach the top of a rise, Jack and Kate sit down to rest while Daniel, who's wearing a black vest with a flashing red light (probably identical to the one Naomi has on when she parachutes down to the island) pulls out some sort of communication device (again, possibly the same as Naomi's "phone") and says something like:

"George, it's Daniel. Yeah, my instrumentation went crazy. Seemed like some kind of electrical storm. I'm here with some of the survivors."

Much more at Dark UFO

mb said...

Also,
Dark UFO has a bit of an interview with Rebecca Mader - not a lot of Lost info but kind of fun.

Also, I'm just realizing that Jeremy Davies could play Seattle Jimmy's brother - I see a resemblence.

Stephanie said...

Jeremy Davies is in Rescue Dawn with François Chau (Dr Marvin Candle).

mb said...

Nice connect Steph!

Also - just realized I temporarily lost the ability to count in the long post above (I said I'd give 2 points and gave 3). I apparently like the sound of my own typing.

mb said...

Many MANY pieces of info to post (soon...I promise), but first and foremost -
DARK UFO has a video someone shot with a camcorder of a SESAON 4 PROMO which appartently plays on a loop of previews in the the Commissary at Disney World in Florida. No sound from the promo and no real spoilers, but it's SOMETHING! w00t!

mb said...

Lots of stuff that I have not been keeping up on over at DARK UFO (i.e. click the link to see all of the following info):

- FROM SUNDAY A writer for Tallahassee.com spotted Josh, Naveen, Daniel, Ian, Elizabeth and Jorge at tent city on the beach set - which means, one would think, that Desmond does indeed make it back to the beach to give everyone Charlie's message. But knowing this show, I would not be at all surprised if Desmond ends up having some reason to stay silent and (per usual) information is withheld - leading to a month of me (and Handsome Jack from J&J) internally screaming "WHY THE F DON'T THESE PEOPLE TALK TO EACH OTHER?!?!? But I'm probably wrong :)
Also, some set photos from the beach and elsewhere.

- FROM MONDAY Someone from LostTV Forum posted that the crew were filming in Whitmore Village in Wahiawa where Josh Holloway was sighted and they were asking for kids in tattered clothing as extras - perhaps we get to see where the Others take the children?

- FROM TUESDAY:
Damon Lindelof had some cryptic things to say:
1. "I know there are "Save Charlie" T-shirts popping up around. (pause. silence) "The Hatch" imploded according to Locke but there is definitely more to this story"

2. The answer to who/what Jacob is "...lies further downstream in the ongoing story"

3. "Character names on the show are not assigned without a reason. And yes, that is a clue."

4. The season 3 finale "...definitely set up season 4". We will find out that the 'House of Lost' "...actually has a lot more rooms than you thought..."

FROM WEDNESDAY:
More characters/roles announced (as usual, any names could very well be fake) -
- MARK FORRESTER - guest star - a cocky, fortysomething, corporate shark/player who's willing to risk his lofty job on the line to get an even loftier one in a corporate buy-out.
- MELISSA WATERS - guest star - an attractive fortysomething counterpart to MARK who is self-assured and formidable, and is competing against a "co-worker" (I assume Mark) for a highly valued promotion in a company buy-out.
- ARTHUR GALZETHRON - "nice co-star" - President of a company during a corporate buy-out and must make a decision about an in-house promotion.

Also from Wednesday - some great pics of Evangeline Lilly and Jeremy Davies on what looks like the rocky area where Desmond killed Kelvin (or an area like it), as well as some pics of what looks like an intense scene with a Ken Leung pointing a gun at Matthew Fox.

And to repeat my earlier post - someone posted a camcorder recording of a Season 4 promo which apparently is playing on a video loop at the Commissary at Disney World in Florida.

And if you took the time to read this whole post - you can read it all again if you want at DARK UFO (the pics are there too).

mb said...

Two things I forgot to mention:
- Secretagentman at DARK UFO says of the new ARTHUR GALZETHRON character that his company has nothing to do with Widmore.

- Spoilerfix.com posted back on Saturday that the Season 4 premiere will have BOTH Sawyer and Hurley flashbacks (or flashforwards?), and perhaps other character flashbacks/forwards as well.

Trevor McFur said...

Those are good spoilers mb. That last one gave me some tingles in the spine. I think it's starting to come to the time where I might have to go spoiler-free again!

mb said...

I agree Trevor - some interesting info. And you're right - the information is definitely starting to come in faster now that their shooting.

/"You must do what you feel is right, of course"

mb said...

I also forgot to mention that the three new corporate characters are supposed to be introduced in episode 4

mb said...

Thanks to Ally for the tip-off
Ausiello @TV Guide has official word from Carlton Cuse that Libby will be returning for multiple episodes (presumably flashbacks). Cuse says "She'll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story...We could not be more pleased. Cynthia is a smart and engaging actor, and [executive producer] Damon [Lindelof] and I have some very cool parts of her story left to tell."

Ausiello then rhetorically asks whether this may lead to proving the THEORY that Libby is connected to Mrs. Hawking and Brother Campbell. I had not heard this theory before - so I'm interested what people think.

mb said...

Hey everyone,

Dark UFO Has a set photo that was apparently posted by Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) on the Nine Inch Nails website. Dark UFO adds that Jorge Garcia confirmed with the source from The Fuselage that the pic is genuine. Not MUCH of a set pic, but I wonder if Trent is just a fan visiting the set or if he's got a part in the show?

Also at Dark UFO, Lynn at the HawaiiLost Yahoo group had a filming update: "It was supposed to be in Germany. They had snow (shaved ice) all over the road. Some of the security said it was a Jack scene. It was not it was Sayid. There was no dialog I could hear, just naveen crossing the street several times"

And finally, Dark UFO has a radio interview with Nestor Carbonell who seems to definitively say all his energy is in his new show Cane right now, but talk a bit about Lost, and speculated that he thought Richard Alpert was indigenous to the island and has been around for 400 years or so. Hmmmm. Haven't listened to the whole thing yet.

mb said...

Mucho mucho informaciòn esta semana! (and those five words took five trips to dictionary.com - lol). But for those who haven't read all this at
DARK UFO already:

- A bunch of production photos, including a location shoot for what looks like an off-island scene which had Jorge and Matthew Fox dressing rooms on set. Ryan from The Transmission says "LOST is back at the historic YWCA on Richards Street in downtown Honolulu. It was again an interior shoot, closed set. But, trailers indicated accommodations for "Jack" and "Hurley," and sure enough, I spotted the pair leaving the building just as I was leaving for work.... Hurley and Jack? Flash forward, maybe?"

- We find out in episode 4 whether or not Kate is pregnant.

- Dark UFO's source Bannerman provided casting info for episode 4 which Dark UFO is labeling as Desmond Centric (indeed there do seem to be the requisite cast of Brits - +some military people - for a Desmond backstory... or .... flashforward??):

Episode 4.05
Shoots: 10/5 - 10/18

[RAY] 40s-50s, any ethnicity, psychiatrist, cold, professional type who can do what's necessary to get the job done...VERY NICE CO-STAR THAT COULD TURN INTO A POSSIBLE RECUR AS A GUEST STAR

[ALFRED] 40s-50s, Caucasian, British, cool and calm under pressure, knows his place in society and knows how to handle members of the upper classes...CO-STAR. IMPECCABLE BRITISH ACCENT.

[BANNERMAN] Mid 40s, any ethnicity, narcoleptic, can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, but has an important piece of information to tell. A very smart technician by trade...GUEST STAR.

[BILLY] Mid to late 20s, Caucasian, British, a good buddy to have, willingly to listen but won't take too much gruff before he'll knock you in line...NICE CO-STAR. IMPECCABLE BRITISH ACCENT.

[FOLEY] 40s - 50s, any ethnicity, British, physically fit, tough task master, unrelenting. A performance reminiscent of R. Lee Ermey in "Full Metal Jacket"... NICE CO-STAR. IMPECCABLE BRITISH ACCENT.

[LARSON] Late 20s - 30s, any ethnicity, smart, dangerous but capable of charm and humor. Tough military type. Follows orders and doesn't question them...GUEST STAR, POSSIBLE RECUR.

[KEAMY] Late 20s - 30s, any ethnicity, dangerous, physical - a great tactician, loyal friend and the last enemy you ever want. Military type. Follows orders and doesn't question them...GUEST STAR, POSSIBLE RECUR .

- As for Malcolm David Kelley's return and issues of him not looking his age on the show (since the actor is in his sprouting years for sure), Damon Lindeloff says "we've always known Malcolm was going to grow faster than we could shoot the show. And we planned for it. Trust us. Please trust us."

- Re: Jacob - Carlton Cuse says "Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer. And no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke." Cuse also declined to say whether an actor had been chosen to portray the character.

- The ODI has photos of an actress on set that looks like Susan Gibney who people may know from Crossing Jordan (DA Renee Walcott) and also long ago on Star Trek: Next Gen as Dr. Leah Brahms.

[ally] said...

Holy Cannoli, Batman! That's a lot of information! :)

Thanks for keeping us updated, MB. (and Mac, as I'm sure he helped)

mb said...

Thanks Ally! I can always count on you for support :)

Two more things -

- CORRECTION - Episode 4 is now being tagged as Kate centric (source = Ausiello @TV Guide via Dark UFO)

- Nestor Carbonell, in an interview on an unnamed radio show this morning says a couple of things about Richard Alpert:
Q: "So what's the deal with Richard? He didn't age."

"...I was told I was fairly ageless." [I assume by Cuselof or TPTB)

and

Q: "So you're the recruiter. You left the island and found Juliet, and you found Ben when he was a kid?"

A: "When Ben was a kid I tapped him to be the head of the Others - the Golden Child. I was indigenous to the island, and had the responsibility of
finding the messiah."

Some shooting news from Ryan @Hawaii Blog via Dark UFO

- LOST is shooting at the downtown YWCA again (they've used that location a lot lately) for Episode 5 which Ryan is reporting to be Desmond-centric, and these tidbits of info have apparently filtered out (the following is cut and pasted):

1. There is a lot of construction going on. Much of it is for a major renovation of the Cafe Laniakea restaurant (what I thought might be a greenscreen backdrop is merely a storage shed for tables and chairs), but some of the skilled carpentry observed recently is indeed related to “LOST” sets.
2. One set, in particular, bears a faint resemblance to a courtroom, complete with judge’s bench, witness stand, and bar. Then again, a rough sketch of the layout was interpreted by someone else as a cafeteria. My money’s on courtroom, though.
3. The hearing or trial to take place on the set revolves around the “LOST” character and flashback most commonly associated with the YWCA location. As it is, this actor has been on the premises for at least two of the last three location shoots (though presumably for different scenes).

Casting info:

Fisher Stevens has been cast in the recurring role of Minkowski -
TV Guide says he's "a mysterious character alluded to several times toward the end of last season and ultimately heard over the phone when Jack (stupid, impetuous Jack) made contact with Not Penny's Boat."

I'll have to re-watch the the last part of season 3 - I didn't catch the mention of his name.

mb said...

I apologize for the laziness today - but let me direct you to Dark UFO because there is a good bit of shooting info including pics. Plus a claim that they are getting ready (if they haven't by now) to film a death scene.

cue Queen - "[dum dum dum}...another one bites the dust..."
